I said it before and I it said again: I can name a worse cross-over than this and that studio was fortunately gone by then. Besides, Mel Blanc himself did some radio PSAs about the danger of drugs in the late 70’s as his characters (and yes, I know he smoked, Debby downers) and don’t find this much of a stretch: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rPHhtqOifyk
Avengers: Endgame: We are the crossover everyone wanted.
Cartoon All-Stars to the Rescue: Hold my beer… cuz beer is bad, just like drugs, and your life will fall apart, and — WHOOPS! *trips over own feet*
Seriously, what an amazing crossover it could’ve been without all the drug stuff.
Oh, this is so ripe for so much. Satire, deconstruction, total confusion. “We need to talk to you like an adult! “Wi-nne the- Pooh, Wi-nne the- Pooh…”
I have a pet theory that words like condescension and sardonic were removed from the american teaching system because they would only help reveal the system as a sham.
As a guy who saw this when it first aired, I was let down, I thought it would be more like “Who Framed Roger Rabbit?” with all these characters acting like themselves in crazy ways.
The part at the carnival gave me the creeps when I first saw it, I was 7 at that time, so that would scare any kid.
I just wished a better cartoon crossover would get made with more action and adventure like the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
They did crossovers better.
Well, Tina, at least THIS PSA special that had Pooh attached to it is… somewhat an improvement over some OTHER PSA specials that have Pooh attached to it that I can mention. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fDE-IWxU2-A

There’s snark about the shadowy sinister real purpose behind DARE, but since this strip doesn’t even mention that…
Tina’s being unusually self aware in this one I see

I don’t care what anyone says. It was one of the ultimate cartoon crossovers. That’s a plus in my book!
Okay, this was hilarious. Personally, I found Cartoon All-Stars to the Rescue to be kinda dark despite all the cartoon characters included.
If President Bush was anything like this son, then the answer to Joel’s question should be obvious to most people.
