Not sure what Joel’s song is about, but I can’t beleive he’d trash his sister in public through one. It’s probablya lament about how hard she tries to fit in, instead of being herself.
I had to go review Cameron from previous strips before I said any vicious things about him. He’s a jerk, yeah, but he always acts to incite rather than out of malice.
I doubt the song will be negative considering how well Katy is with Joel. He might add a little quip about her being obsession with cute boys and getting famous but that would probably be it.
I feel like Katy being a contributor to Joel’s trauma would be true if this was the original version of the comic, but she’s a lot more supportive of him in the reboot so I’m already doubt that that’s the case.
I admit I have not read EVERY strip of the series, but Cameron’s attitude reminds me that of Nick’s. Both of them seems to be kind of manipulator jerks.
