I remember baristas being enthused, or faking it beyond the sensitivity of my emotion detectors (emotectors). I also remember them charging four times the price of a shot of espresso for a quad espresso, until I pointed out it was cheaper for me to order a venti Americano, in a short cup, hold the water.
Loving the cynical, world-weary barista. And yes, @JIMENOPOLIX, I could totally see her with Daria’s voice.
Also, I always thought it weird that they name their drink sizes “tall”, “grande” and “venti” instead of “small”, “medium” and “large”. I’m pretty sure it’s a psychological trick to make the customer think even the smallest size is still “big”, in much the same way that stores will price an item at $99.99 to make you subconsciously see it as being a good deal because it’s under $100.
Everyone who has jobs in this comic’s universe are always so dead inside. Even the coffee clerks in Garfield are happier than these people (provided Jon tipped them well enough) lol
Yeah, that Barista probably has the voice of Daria.
@JIMENOPOLIX:
Oh! Well… that answers my question.
Anyone else hear Daria’s voice when the “barrista” speaks?

The serving drones are disillusioned already.
someone needs to have a little ‘fun’, but this is gold nonetheless
Fell in love with the barista XD
They call it a venti, because its 20 oz.! 20! Venti!
Why do I imagine that barista with Daria’s voice?
