    You know what I think?

After this series is over, perhaps we could get a modern series where they react to the stuff that happened ever since the 90s ended, to see what their viewpoint on the world today is.

Eh, the first Flintstones movie was decent. Had a solid plot, the actors did the parts well, and it had some good jokes.

Viva Rock Vegas, however, can go sink in a tarpit.

Something tells me Kendra isn’t going to like the Banana Splits movie.

I must be one of the few that liked that film. It actually holds a special place in my heart cause my mom actually snuck me in to see it after seeing a earlier kids fest movie at the theater. Her idea and everything, lol and we both enjoyed it. Got the VHS later and still reminisce about it. Look I know it’s not without flaws, Rosie O Donell wouldn’t be my first pick for Betty, some of it is driven by stupidity (then again Fred isn’t pretty bright) and some of the effects were silly. But it capture the essence of the cartoon well enough and I applaud it for mostly using practical effects.

So yeah go on, snark as usual, but I ain’t budging on this hill. ‘Sides give it six years, that sequel will make you appreciate this one much more guys =P

Riveting conversation… but now I’m stuck staring at the food mess in and around their mouths…

El-Man: They keep working on a Pink Panther movie where the Panther is an actual character. It’s never made much headway.

Anyways, I hear John Goodman also hasn’t got much nice things to say about the Flintstones movie. I think he felt it was, like, doing that during the peak of Roseanne’s popularity, put him at risk of typecasting, which would have cost him probably a lot of roles had he not kept working with the Coen Bros.

An Inspector Clouseau movie where the Pink Panther actually shows up?
An telling of the Hatfield-McCoy feud with the Hillbilly Bears?

Yeah, the Flintstones movies could have been better.

Even there have been a LOT of stinkers, I’m unapologetically a “live action adaptations of cartoons” fanboy (even down to the string of live-action Disney remakes). Just the simple gimmick of seeing 2 dimensional characters in a realistic setting just adds to that theoretical “so THAT’S what they’d be like if they actually existed” mentality.

Ones like this, George of the Jungle and SD 2: Monsters Unleashed are among the best. (I also hear Josie & the Pussycats is a cult classic to some, but haven’t seen that one yet.

Correction: now every Hanna-Barbera cartoon is gonna get a live-action and CGI adaptation. You haven’t truly lived until you’ve seen Papa Smurf in glorious computer-generated 3D.

it’s unfortunate that the actual scooby doo movies came out after the 90s. would love to here the gang riff on them

Too bad this strip did not include Steve to see his POV about the film.

Now I’m imagining Quick Draw enacting Kurt Russell’s “NOOOOOOOOOO!” and I can’t stop laughing.

I’ve only ever eaten McDonald’s chicken nuggets and fries before (discounting their mcflurries and ice cream cones with I rarely get unless I want something sweet).

So I guess all I can say here is: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dONWOKCW-Es
