I back tracked this strip from the mid-August ’94 arc… I think Joel *will* use that last line as a lyric in a song when all is said and done.
That is actually a perfectly legit story for how a musician came by a lyric. I could see a story like this popping up in ‘Everybody Loves Our Town’.
