@KaptainJay: “The Alternate”, the one where the scientist who studied Odo comes to visit and it’s like an uncomfortable father-son reunion. It aired January 9, 1994, the weekend this story takes place 😁
The future may not have money, but it does have replicators. You wanna go on a shopping spree? Just fire up that little machine in the corner and BOOM! Whole new wardrobe created out of thin air! Eat it, law of conservation of mass!
And if you really, really miss actual money, well…you can always become a Ferengi. They love the stuff.
I see Lindsay now as being the “red wizard” archetype of Final Fantasy. Skilled in all, master of none. But she has friends who will shore up her weaknesses. 🙂

By the way, what episode are they watching?

I’m sure Ronald won’t mind a bit, Joce. 😂

Looks like Lindsay is becoming a Star Trek fangirl.
Lindsay raises a good question; doubly so since they’re watching DS9. The Promenade is basically a huge mall, when you think about it.
I forgot the previous strip wasn’t the last strip in the storyline 😅
Anyway, again, it’s nice seeing Lindsay broaden her horizons and invest herself in different subjects. Hope to see more of that in the future.
And her leg is magically all better! Because webcomic logic!
Glad things ended up well… for them.
