omgosh i love animaniacs!! And yes, Kindra’s mom, some of the jokes on that show only adults would get, heh
But, toons interacting with the real world, isn’t that Who Framed Roger Rabbit? Or is that was she was referencing? I remember Bonkers; I thought it was so dumb that they tried to copy the toons and “humans” thing, but the cop “human” was a cartoon too, so it didn’t make sense at all, and some of the stuff that happened to him that would have hurt a human didn’t really hurt him…..
@El-Man in 1993,anime in North America wasn’t as mainstream or popular as it is now. That was still four or five years away before we had series like Pokemon,Yu-Gi-Oh! and Sailor Moon.
Kendra, if she chooses to pursue animation well into her adulthood, has a decent chance of becoming a showrunner on the 2020 Animaniacs reboot (although she’ll have to move to Toronto if she wants to be a member of the inevitably outsourced animation team).
Historical Note: Mighty Mouse had actually been brought in the previous decade, only to soon after get cancelled when showrunner Ralph Bakshi couldn’t stop picking fights with network executives. A trait his protege John Kricfalusi would pick up and run with and milk for all its worth for decades afterwards.
A live-action/animation hybrid TV show is something I’m surprised isn’t a more commonly thought of idea in today’s more advanced animation world. “But what about Out of Jimmy’s-” I mean an actually GOOD show.
Also, Liv is a fan of Mighty Mouse, eh? Honestly that’s shocking given the “cocaine” controversy LOL

You think that’s funny, just wait two years until the debut of Freakazoid. I STILL laugh at some of the jokes from that show, even today!
Of course, it wasn’t all sunshine and rainbows on Kids WB in the 90’s. We also had dreck like Waynehead, Histeria, and (shudder) Road Rovers.
Here I was expecting Jenny and Eric to be watching Power Rangers

This makes me wonder what Kendra’s feeling towards manga and anime is. Has she mentioned Tezuka or Miyazaki before?
I feel panel 3 so much.
I love Kendra in panel two – wide-eyed and stuffing her face while intensely enjoying cartoons.
(reads Kendra’s line in panel 3) YES, YES, AN INFINITY TIMES MORE YES!!!!!
Animaniacs, god I love that show. And my dad introduced me to Mighty Mouse when I was a kid and its a pretty good cartoon as well.
Wait until they get to 1995 and get the chance to watch the old “World’s Premiere Cartoon Show” from CN and then…
@TheJayster49: Given what I said below, I think that The New Adventures Of Mighty Mouse had come and gone before she noticed.
