I’m glad Eric’s on cloud nine, but before y’all hate on Jenny- yeah she left him high and dry- but from her point of view, these feelings are new to her, maybe they make her feel vulnerable? And poor Eric wants to sing to the world about their feelings and puts her right on the spot, “tell them what a cute lil couple we are!” So yeah she’s gonna get embarrassed and flee.

It looks like Eric was just getting a drink of water (note the fountain in panel 1), and Dumb ‘n’ Dumber just showed up and decided to ruin his good mood, because that’s what they do best. Eric was just responding to their usual assholery.
