@Dollars to Donuts I don’t recall any of us asking for that! From what I’ve seen, anyway, the ones that do are in the minority.

People, if we make JB get rid of all the villains, then what’s gonna drive the strip’s conflicts? This is why fandoms shouldn’t be allowed much a creative input.

I… actually don’t really wanna see pierced nips. I’m good.
    But good for her.

    Also, Happy Birthday, @Ghost.

And like I said, ignore Mole.
Givig him attention will only feed his fuel… or whatever the phrase is. Just forget him and focus on the crazy antics of the comic.

@Superior Gorrila When I read his comment last night, I felt my brain blowing its brains out. I was appalled.

Today is actually my 22nd birthday! Mole being permabanned would be the best birthday gift ever!

    IN other words “Crystal Light.”

I’m of the firm belief that Mole is an old rival from JB’s school days that is try to undermine his comic by saying the most crazy and outlandish things that could be uttered by someone that has been so blinded by their own self-righteous ego.

@Lorenzo: If JB did that, he would do the world a favor.

As for the comic: Am I the only one that thinks Ronald might be gay in secret and he hides it from everyone. Sure, we have already seen that with Deb, but I think this would end differently for him.

@Exxor: I bet Ronald will be killed off by the end of the storyline.

The phrase is “off on a tangent”. Let’s walk you though this: What would it take to make Phyllis “come out of her shell”? No, just snapping over some small point and yelling at Ron isn’t enough. No, kicking Ron out for complimenting Vicky’s boobs isn’t enough. What’s the most damage that can be done? An affair? Nah, there’s no one to- say, what about Deb? 🙂
I do not “know better than JB”, and I do not “understand HIS OWN CHARACTERS better than he does”, though I am willing to admit the (let’s go with ‘uneveness’) that he writes some of the characters with. As bad as Joscelyn is at least she’s not like Original Keven and Lindsey. (I can admit how much JB has improved at writing.) Yes, Ron is a bag of hate and stupidity, but that’s the caricature that he is. It’s Jos who needs a Christmas Magic Happiness Change, not Ronald and Phyllis. Well, maybe 2nd and 3rd places for Ronald and Phyllis.

You know, I can’t help but feel like the ideal solution would be for Vicky to legally adopt Jocelyn. Vicky gets a younger version of herself who she can mold in her own image (and share weed with), Jocelyn gets a parental figure who actually supports and encourages her, and Ron and Phyllis don’t have to deal with their oh-so-embarrassing rebellious daughter anymore. Everybody wins!

@Mole204: What the actual FUCK?! What is WRONG with you?! Why do you keep giving us, unasked for, these bizarre scenarios that twist these characters into knots? What about all that drivel makes you even THINK you know better than JB, understand HIS OWN CHARACTERS better than he does?

At Ghost (laughs.) OK, point. Is trash collection with a nail-stick considered a profession in the 90s? I thought it wasn’t. At least JB can always claim “the speed of bureaucracy” for delays keeping Deb in her teaching job. Now that Deb has crossed so many Last Lines, downwards, it’d be fun seeing her try to keep it together after she’s lost everything. What does it take to turn a person into Mr Tucker?

@Mole204 You act like Deb still has a job in any profession.

Ghost- If Jos dyes Phyllis’s hair blond, and takes her to school for a parent-teacher meeting, would Deb be too attracted to Phyllis to go over all of Jos’s “long as my arm” file, or too incoherent to go over Jos’ grades? One spilled coffee, and the school has a shower area in the gym rooms. It’s not quite underwater, but Jos has to break down Phyllis gradually. Question is would it be cold and alone shower, or “a bit crowded” with Deb?

I really do want to see Phyllis toss Ronald out. And as someone pointed out, Ronald is yet another one of those one-dimensional villains that have nothing interesting of note to them, and irredeemable. I just want him to disappear. He gives those of his faith a bad rap. And that’s if he’s even devoted. He’s already taken God’s name in vain a few times already.

Who else REALLY wants Phyllis to come out of her shell?

And I thought “loses his shirt between blinks” was a male-scumbag trait. In December.
And Jos mentions Allie. At least she remembers her. I wonder how you can de- something poison? Is there such a thing as de-sparkling cyanide? Scale-less rattlesnake venom? I don’t know what to call it, but Ron looks like it’s the only thing he’s willing to give to Vicky.

Yeah, it’s clear Jocelyn takes after Aunt Vicky so much more.

I appreciate that Phyllis is at least TRYING to be civil. Deadass, I really do hope she gets a redemption arc, since she actually has some redeeming qualities unlike Ronald (or pretty much every other villain in this comic).
