@Freezer: No, I meant VCRs, mainly because William doesn’t seem to know how to work one…

I guess it all depends on what episode Williams sees first? Say was “The Contest” still airing at this moment as a rerun or was a new episode premiering at this point?

I wonder what episode would be his favourite? Or one he would actually enjoy?…

@El-Man: ITYM “VOD”. VCRs would’ve been at peak popularity around this time. (DVDs existing, but not being a thing for another five years)

“Funnier than Laverne and Shirley? That’s one heck of a a high bar to clear.” It’s really not.

@El-Man I think there were already VCRs by then.

@TheJayster49: 1992-93 was Seinfeld’s fourth season. Seinfeld had started out with terrible ratings but gotten gradually more popular over the years, and this was right after “The Contest” aired, which was such a huge deal of an episode that all of a sudden everyone needed to see this show. That’s why I waited until now to do a story about it – William is so out of touch with what’s hip, of course he’d be one of the last people to hear about this.

Two movies per year? Well, la de da, Mr and Mrs Fancy Pants!

Last movie I saw in theaters was the Bob’s Burgers movie. Movie before that was SpongeBob: Sponge Out of Water.

Honestly, I feel that Joel would be more into Seinfeld than William.

Doesn’t this just take you back to the days before VCRs? 😁

Seinfeld debuted back in 1989, so I’m presuming 1992 was when Season 2 rolled around. The series didn’t really start getting good until Season 2, so William is in luck. And even then, not until “The Chinese Restaurant”, which continues to be one of my favorite episodes.
