Somebody needs to teach Deb how to read the MPAA Ratings Guide if she thinks that series of films is “For Kids”

    Actually, you know what?
If this story took place in the 2000s, I would LOVE to see her reaction to “The Cat in the Hat”, a “children’s film”.

Like, she pays her ticket to take her child to see a safe family-friendly-looking film, then all the adult jokes smack her right in the face, and she loses it in front of everyone.

I don’t like her at all… but I really do wonder what she would say about it…

    “A children’s film.”
Yeah, right. The content contained in the movie CLEARLY indicated it was “for children”.

    Here’s a shocker.
“The Simpsons” has swearing in it. It is also a cartoon show. Cartoons are for kids, right? So that MUST mean “The Simpsons” are meant for kids too, right?

Lady, he likely heard “boobs” from you and figured out what that meant. Stop twisting his words. Honestly it’s a miracle the kid knows the difference between a toy and NSFW content at his age.

The only question about that kid is *what kind* of mess he’s going to be as an adult.

Unfortunately there’s nobody to tell Deb that Batman Returns was NOT for kids as young as Jacob. But she has her mind made up.

Deb. You realize that the film is rated PG-13. I simply solution is to not let your son watch it. But at this point I think most of us feel like we’re talking to a brick wall.

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaand there’s another reason Deb’s dead to me. (not that anyone liked her in the first place): the goddamn dreaded “for kids” excuse of an excuse x infinity/blatantly confusing “for kids” for any damn franchises when they’re clearly not.

Sorry, it’s just the mislabeling “for kids”/lumping “for people of all ages/for families” into that same category is one of my biggest triggers ’cause when that happens, it’s just a giant disrespect to industries to- OK, I’m gonna stop here before I go all Mole on the comments (only with an actual reason for getting pissed).

I get that Deb is trying to prevent her son from being exposed to inappropriate content at a young age, but she’s taking it to the extreme.

I want Jacob to befriend Jenny and Eric. I feel like they could really help him learn to be sneaky and finally enjoy the remainder of his childhood.

Does she REALLY think that kid is Harvard material?
