Oh wait. The “Shunk” was the screen rolling up. At first, I thought Steve wrote that on the board as a sound of the guy’s dick going in.

Nice use of onomatopoeia by Steve in that.

In the mid 2000’s Deb met Flo, a junk sculptor, and realized why she’d always found sex distasteful. she divorced her husband and has tried patching up her relationship with her son.

@Mole204 wrt payload: the classical nudes actually would inspire a completely different discussion on the merits of non-sexualized nudity, and while that’s the sort of discussion that would expose Deb for the hypocrite that she inevitably is, it isn’t the direction that For Unwanted Carnal Knowledge needs to go to get to its punchline.

Don’t admit it, Steve, let Deb hold her own inquisition to find out.
We used to do something similar, but with Playboy centrefolds.

I’ve noticed JB doesn’t really do overarching storylines to the same extent as the original comic anymore, especially since this storyline is a remake of one that ended on a particularly dour note. So I’m kinda expecting the storyline to have some sort of resolution rather than continue much further.

However, I like to imagine that Steve and Jocelyn’s efforts to torment Deb might end up doing more harm than good. If only cause it’d be interesting to see a villain in this comic actually act out on their plans. I’m not counting Nick in his race against Lindsay for student body president cause he’s more of an annoying asshole than an outright villain.

Would such a cheap gag have been better if it was one of the classical nudes, like the statue of David, or the Mona Lisa topless? Does JB avoid copying work of other artists like R Crumb, when he’s quite happy to drop in anything from Batman to Star Wars?
I think Jocelyn talking about skittles is suspect. When her hair is in color, she IS a rainbow..

Well Played, Steve. Deb, you have no idea who you are dealing with.
