I mean, Trish did get away with bribery scot-free and she did embarass her only daughter on national syndicated television but her heart was in the right place so I guess that evens things out.

You’re good, Lotso. I get where you’re coming from. Her punishment was swift given the spotlight was put on her, literally and figuratively. I wouldn’t be surprised if Lindsay let her mom have it offscreen. I mean, there would have been plenty of time for it with the trip home, and her guilt is quite plain.

Being forgiving isn’t a “dumb blonde” trait, necessarily. Yeah, Lindsay has the Valley Girl Airhead vibe going for her much of the time, but she has also demonstrated she really is genuine in this continuity.

The more we see of her “dream,” the more pathetic it looks.

I apologize for losing my cool earlier. I wasn’t trying to attack anybody.

@Katrina I mean, I like this iteration of Lindsay, I’m just pissed that the author went for the dumb blonde approach and made her forgive the shitty mom right away.

Sorry you feel that way, Lotso. Not everybody is so quick to anger as you are. Some of us, indeed, are possessed of the good nature and decency that Lindsay is.

I will say, though, it is kinda sad that you’d rather Lindsay be a selfish bitch.

Merry Christmas 🎅 🎄 everybody! I kinda thought/hoping this was gonna cause resentment in Lindsay for Patricia. this is a sweet moment

Are you fucking kidding me? No grudge? No argument? Nothing?!? The bitch got greedy, humiliated her daughter, and nearly robbed her opponent of a win, and all she gets is a slap on the wrist? I’m sorry but I’m actually mad about this! I don’t care if she had good intentions! She’s a snobby, greedy bitch and I’m shocked she didn’t even get a good yelling at, because Lindsay is a fucking pushover that lets people walk all over her!

Good to see Patricia is taking responsibility for her actions and that Lindsay is hearing her out. This makes me a little more curious about Patricia’s Backstory, considering she and Brad became parents before they graduated from High School.

@TheJayster: I think Lindsay realizes that while what her mother did was wrong, Patricia had good intentions.

I hope everyone enjoyed their Christmas this year! I didn’t exactly have a blast, per se, but it was still a fun Christmas nonetheless.

I’m quite amazed at how instantly Lindsay forgave her mother. Considering Lindsay was clearly a nervous wreck about losing Star Search cause she wanted to make a change in the world, you’d expect their relationship to be far more strained.

And on a slightly unrelated note, money CAN solve everything. It’s just you have to spend it on VERY specific things, Patricia.
