I wouldn’t be surprised if Lindsay let her mom have it offscreen. I mean, there would have been plenty of time for it with the trip home, and her guilt is quite plain.
Being forgiving isn’t a “dumb blonde” trait, necessarily. Yeah, Lindsay has the Valley Girl Airhead vibe going for her much of the time, but she has also demonstrated she really is genuine in this continuity.

I’m quite amazed at how instantly Lindsay forgave her mother. Considering Lindsay was clearly a nervous wreck about losing Star Search cause she wanted to make a change in the world, you’d expect their relationship to be far more strained.
And on a slightly unrelated note, money CAN solve everything. It’s just you have to spend it on VERY specific things, Patricia.
