Hehehehe…watching Ronald have a melt down is always fun. I like how it’s more over-the-top and “cartoony” here, as opposed to the way he looked the first time around. Really sells the idea that the facade is cracking, you know?

Could Phylis possibly have a redemption arc, I wonder? She dosen’t seem like a horrible person. Just a woman trying to appease an asshole who dosen’t care for her

Don’t worry, Phyllis. His driving will kill you before the stroke does.

Hey, Krebs would grow up to be the first mate on a boat and help his Skipper and five passengers survive for YEARS on an uncharted desert aisle! So BACK OFF, RON!!

Reminds of that line from Good Morning Vietnam – “You’re in more dire need of a b*** j** than any white man is history”.

Ah yes! The classic devout Christian rage!

@TheJayster49: In this case, you can blame Frank Oz. This is exactly what happens in the movie this arc is referencing. Bill Murray drives Richard Dreyfuss completely off the deep end just by being himself.

@ExxorD You’re right that the antagonists are not as threatening as the original comic, but my issue is that they appear far too frequently for comfort. I keep bringing this up because this was one of the main problems I had with the original continuity.

@TheJayster49 Could be worse. The antagonists in the first iteration of this comic were a legitimate threat to all the other characters. This time around, it seems like they’re all nothing but hot air.

Also, I kind of hope that Phyllis divorces him after this. Under the grounds that he’ll soon put his own daughter and her soon-to-be official boyfriend in danger, I’d hope he gets nothing out of the divorce. From what I see, there is something in Phyllis that can be redeemed. Ronald on the other hand, has a stick so far up his buttcrack that it can’t be removed without killing him.

Okay, first of all Ronald, you’ve proven time and time again that you don’t even remotely CARE about your daughter. All you want is for her to basically be nothing more than an immorally obedient sap. If all you want is for her to parrot everything you do, and verbally beat her down whenever she questions something, you don’t deserve to have her as a daughter. P.S.: Apologies for the rant, I see enough of people controlling others these days, and far too often.

If Ronald has/will always be like this, I sort of want to see Joscelyn force him to sit down and smoke a small dose of marijuana. Before he parks his car inside a building. It’d make an interesting “everybody just de-cardiac arrest” parent-teacher meeting with Mr Tucker.

Shit’s gonna go down sooner or later.

Why is it so obligatory for all the antagonists in this comic to have an over-the-top meltdown? I’ve been trying to keep my mouth shut about this but Ronald is really pushing it.
