This’d be the metaphorical TacoBell coming back.

    NOPE!

I will not catch the feels for Kevin Dusquene. Never. Not once!

(Now imagine that being said like Nicholas Cage in “Vampire’s Kiss”)

Really? I understand how he’s feeling but this is kinda a Bojack problem: People tell you you’re acting like a dick. And you never considered, y’know, not being one? If you can’t recognize what to change even if it’s spelled out for you, you can’t exactly move forward. But I guess you gotta soften the barriers first before they can be knocked down.

Okay, Kevin could have gone one of two ways – one was turning psycho again, and two is – this.

Ladies and gentlemen, the d-bag has officially been reduced to a crying mess!

I dunno, Kevin. Maybe not being a dick? Is he going to need Joel and Co. to teach him?

Kevin finally does something amusing. It’s not a total breakdown, but he’s not going to be standing in the rain trying to play love songs to Amber with a boom box, accidentally playing “Never gonna give you up.”
Still, panel 3 Kevin isn’t wrong at all. The problem is that he already figured out what was wrong with himself in the May 11th comic. 🙂

There’s some strong roller coaster of emotions going on right now about seeing Kevin cry. Like, with how much of an arrogant and sexist D-bag Kevin is to everyone around him, finally seeing him break down and realize nobody likes him is something he had coming for the longest of time.

Simultaneously, the situation paints Kevin in a more sympathetic light by showing he suffers from low self-esteem and a genuine desire to have actual friends. HOW sympathetic depends on your overall opinion of his character, but still, it’s a major improvement over the outright psychopath he was in all past incarnations.

The old Kevin would NEVER breakdown like this . . .

I think Kevin might get his redemption arc here. Learn to be himself without being the douche that he is. I think that makes for another cool character.

    Kevin is crying.

    Kevin. Is. CRYING.

Dear Lord, I never thought I’d see the day…
