Helpful, but not very effective. I would like to see Lindsey trying to survey the pressure at some oilsands dig somewhere. There are numbers that people rely on to make decisions. Lindsey looks the part, but isn’t cut out for, the cutthroat world of modeling and advertising. She’d just end up meeting Jessica Sulivan and First Lindsey clones.
This iteration of Patricia is far different from toxic stage mom and enabler of Kevin’s antics in the original comic. It’s very interesting to see her as supportive, but naive in regard to other perspectives than her own.
I mean, there ARE some women out there that genuinely want to be housewives. Just ask my mom… or don’t. She’ll go on for hours about her life’s story without sticking to the main topic lol
In seriousness, while Star Search is a foregone conclusion at this point, fashion does seem to be what everybody is suggesting so far (expect for Brad). And given Lindsay’s knowledge of fashion from many of the previous strips, it’s definitely a career path that she seems most suited for.

Ah, the “nuclear family” of Eden Prarie…though, in THIS iteration, everyone’s BRAINS have been irradiated.
Lindsey has a head on her shoulders; I think she’d be good in business. I can see her working in PR.
