Megajar- It’s not on purpose. It’s a mix of not caring about Kevin or Keven, spellcheck being confused, I’ve only ever personally heard Lindsey spoken “Lin’-dsee”, Katey and Katy sounds the same, never heard the name Josselyn (which has multiple spellcheck hits) outside of Darkwing Duck before this comic and still suspect it rhymes with gasoline, and honest mistakes. As for Mirium (oh, Marion) don’t tell me you could look at Rick and not hear that big father, Bob from Hey Arnold.

@Mole204: OK, I have to ask: do you really not know how to spell the characters’ names, or are you just misspelling them on purpose? “Lindsay” is spelled with an “A”, not an “E”. It’s “Katy”, not “Katey”. And “Mirium”? Seriously?

Hmm, if Joel is six, is Katy three?

An essay should not scar a 1st grader that hard. Joel must be putting too much importance on that moment, right? Kid Joel looks so wholesome compared to flannel wearing Joel. I wonder when Joel met and befriended Aaron- oh, wait a minute- We may finally get to see a younger, less crazy Rick, Aaron’s dad. Let’s see, the Vietnam war ended in 1975, which would make it 6 years ago, and Rick would have gotten out earlier than that, which means he would have met and married Mirium, with enough time to have a kid around the same time that Joel was born. And Katey must exist by now- as a 3 year old! Anyway I did not see this storyline coming, and think that 6 days is too short a look into that time period of the story.

lol Tina and William in the 80s look like MY parents did in the 90s. William’s even got the same mustache my dad did!

Also — my dad totally would’ve said the same thing if I’d watched the Smurfs.

Ooh, now this is new! I don’t think any of the comic’s previous incarnations featured a “when they were kids” segment. This should be fun!

Also, “Joelie”. Aww, she gave him a cute pet name.

Wow… never thought of seeing the gang’s childhood years! This should be a delight. (& obviously more charming than the Goldbergs and ITS’ 1980-Something)
