And a shout-out to Jessie for making Allie more reasonable and sympathetic, while still keeping the drama there. Jess, we know that you’re trying to make your antagonists more-than-one-dimensional, and it’s showing!

Sorry Allie, you can’t really apply transitive properties to relationships.

I think it’s good to show LGBTQ couples having problems, even downright toxic ones. Shows they’re no different from straight couples. And this really does make you feel for Jocelyn. Between her holier-than-her parents and her bipolar abusive girlfriend, she’s got her work cut out for her.

At least Jos is trying to fix the situation. We’ve got no proof that Allie’s real care is running the band and everyone in it.
… Do they have puppets? Because they’ve already got a computer programmer and a cartoonist in the cast. Panels 2 and 3 alone would be all that’s needed for muppet pattern puppets. Allie’s got some great hair, but she’s not David Bowie. Is it possible that Jocelyn can get puppets made by someone she met at church? Would Jocelyn made then anatomically correct? Or just stab Allie-puppet to death with a sharpened Popsicle stick by now?

Well, at least they are being civil right now. Sounds like Allie has some Control Freak Issues.

The sex can’t be good enough to put up with this……

Until I saw it was raining, I first thought it looked like Allie’s family lives in a wooden shack (or log cabin or something).

Allie truly is a mood swinger, I’m now just realizing. One moment she’s yelling at the top of her longs, the next she’s calm and TRYING to be civil with others. Then there are moments where she’s calm but there’s a subtle hint of a tiger just waiting to be released from its cage.

I’ll admit that this does give her more personality compared to most antagonists in the comic, since she clearly is stuck at a crossroad. And the tension lies in whether she’s willing to make a change or if Jocelyn will finally beat the snot outta her (either metaphorically or physically).

Cause it seems like this is a back and fourth battle between her and Jocelyn, which honestly is surprising considering Jocelyn takes no shit from anybody she isn’t on good graces with (the shit her parents put her through notwithstanding).

Sheesh, having to choose between Allie and Roland . . .
