I used to watch this show when I was younger too.

Ah yes, Captain Planet. Heavy-handed environmental messages, coupled with an eco-friendly superhero who made the lamest puns ever and just would not stop. Those were the days…

And speaking of, I like how Michelle’s playing the old NES cartridge harmonica in the last panel. Don’t forget to also hold Reset when you press the Power button, or you could lose your save data!

@Rod G.: You know kids at that age; if they’re not leaving an afterimage when they move, they’ve not had enough sugar.

Yes, the eco-fad and making fun of it. This one looks likely to stick with Jenny and not Denise. But more important, if Jenny is discovering new lengths of the kitchen tap hose will this end in a bubblegum commercial?

Ah, good ole’ Captain Planet riffing.

I never really saw much of the show growing up, but Captain Planet’s very… flamboyant design was something that fascinated me XD

Aaah, Captain Planet. A bit campy, but still a nice show for its time.

Michelle, you don’t know what that’s doing to that cartridge.

Sheesh, Jenny. Don’t you think you’ve had too much sugar?
