    If I could time travel into the past I would refuse to go beyond the point indoor plumbing became widespread.

    That opaque liquid’s probably the local water Joel’s drinking in the first 2 panels. As for Joel’s list, Doc had probably built 3 out of 4 of those. He did have an ice maker the size of a train car. Also, it being the old West, Doc knows that he’s gone from being the smartest man in town to being smarter than everyone in the state, now.
