The “life on hold” thing is just what a career is. Not even a dedicated career, it’s just the demands of a job now. Any job, any person, and it can easily be worse.
Jon, and Mr Johanson, will likely have a better bank account than “I wanna rock” Joel ever will. If it wasn’t for the story resets we’d probably see which of the main cast would be living in a VAN down by the RIVER.
Can’t say I blame Joel for quitting after that fiasco. Least Mr. Johannsen took responsibility for what happened and apologized. One of the few adults in the strip that is a decent person.

I read the first panel kind of quick, and thought Johannsen said “good and fried”… and thought that would violate a few health codes…
