Jayster, My mother and her long-time boyfriend would yell at the TV for/at/got me the Eagles. Then whoever they liked in the Superbowl. I couldn’t be there Superbowl Sunday, as my room was right below, and they would stomp too. You could actually still hear them from down the corner when I went to walk to my friend’s house. My ideal Superbowl Sunday is to not even be aware that that’s what it was until several days later, and never have any idea who even played. Doesn’t happen that often, but I’ve managed it once or twice.
Calling it now- William bets on the other guy, wins, and this time the family vacation is to a discount military-base Hawaiian resort. Joel and the Volcano.
Reasons like this is why I’m glad I never got into sports. It was bad enough with my mom constantly yelling at the top of her lungs whenever the 49ers were playing.

To be fair, unless you knew Buster Douglas personally, that’s how most people felt about the fight.
Admittedly, I get all crazy and on edge when the Seahawks play, so this is a bit of a relatable strip.
