When you finish the 90’s could you do the 60’s? It’s not just that I miss Pogo, but Playboy was just getting going really well after the 50’s. Though Marilyn was great.
I read newspaper comics every day when I was a kid, and “Calvin and Hobbes” was one of the first ones I would read. I even collected all the books.
The 90s was a great decade overall for the funny papers. You had C&H, “The Far Side”, “FoxTrot” dailies, and the last full decade of “Peanuts”.
I used to work in a corporate setting. I printed out and hung some Dilbert cartoons in the main corridor. They weren’t removed for months. None of the managers said anything.
Happy new year everyone. Yeah, I feel Eric’s pain. Calvin and Hobbes was such an iconic strip that at least went out on a high note. Also, Peanuts started going downhill when Rerun became too much of a spotlight stealing squad in the mid 90s.
Thirdly, Eric’s experiencing what so many of us feel when our favorite work finally comes to an end… and in hindsight, Kendra’s right to feel the way she does regarding Dilbert.
Hey! Macarena!
I actually found a reddit post of someone framing the last Calvin and Hobbes strip yesterday. https://www.reddit.com/r/pics/comments/1q0h84s/30_years_ago_i_saved_the_very_last_calvin_and/
Oh, dear Lord, you did “Macarena” for the banner?!?!? SWEET JEEBUS CRISP!!!

Love the new banner, by the way.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!
Happy New Year! I see Steve is still played up as a crossdresser, huh?
Macarena as the new header – nice.
Happy New Year! Nice new banner! Yeah, Calvin and Hobbes was great. I fondly remember reading their anthology books back in middle school.
First off, HAPPY NEW YEAR!
Secondly, love the pink backdrop!
