We’re all really hoping that she’s starting to get the idea of what her scumbag husband is really like. And even I’m hoping that she actually leaves him for good as she wises up?
Actually, no, I take that back. Ronald’s delusions won’t crumble. Rather, he’ll fall so deep into them that they’ll just chuck his ranting and raving ass into the asylum and never speak of his existence again. The perfect way to write him out of the comic permanently.
The only way this ends is when somebody finally puts a bullet in Ronald, and Phyllis will be the one who finally pulls the trigger (as the payoff to her trip to the firing range). Granted, it likely won’t be a fatal shot, but Ron will be wishing he was dead as his delusions crumble all around him.
Oooh, if this leads to DesertStormer and pals being outed as the reason why Ronnie’s in power, things are not going to end well for him or his freedoms. At this point I’m convinced he knows they’re neo-nazis and are willing to do anything to hold power or go beyond.
Again though, I do wonder what turned him into this psychopath who probably wants to oust Clinton in favor of himself if his family had no influence. Was it just sucking up to the in-laws, or his own doing via accident/long or short-term mental differences?
I can imagine if this ever happened in the real world, people noticing a mass exodus from an individual state would imply something has gone horribly wrong.
Of course, in the real world, a result of 100% for one candidate would immediately trigger high-priority state and federal investigations – but this is JB’s story, so we’ll see where he takes it. 😊
One would think if you were to rig an election, you’d try to be less suspicious by making the results be 100%.
Good thing it didn’t take long for SOMEONE to notice. Now it’s matter of who’ll act, and how.
@Aidan Fitzpatrick: I wouldn’t be putting too much stock in those hopes just yet.

Oh, what am I even saying? Phyllis is STILL going to defend Ronald’s shitty ass, even if he gets impeached & thrown out of office.
I wonder what’s going to take to make Phyllis get the hint…
Still waiting to see how correct I am. I’ve been right so far, just have to watch and wait.

Even a no-brainer like Patricia knows that Ronald is a cheating politician.

The gradual wise-up continues in earnest.
Oh boy. This may be the start of Phyllis’s wake up call.
The scariest part is that we still haven’t seen Jocelyn. It’s been a few days in universe at this point at least.
TFW even Patricia calls you out for being a complete dumbass.
