@wingweaver85: I quite honestly like that to be a huge plot twist at some point. Because it would re-contextualise the Stafford family in a very interesting way.
@El-Man I’m still of the mindset that maybe Vicky is Jocelyn’s real mother and maybe Ronald and Phyllis “adopted” her (seeing the implications that Vicky and Phyllis both grew up under that same religious fervor [because why else would Phyllis be so subservient to get with Ronald?]). My guess is that,if this was the case,Vicky was likely an unwed mother and her parents forced her to give Jocelyn up to Phyllis and Ronald for a “traditional,Christian upbringing”. One could also argue whether the “adoption” was legal (considering Ronald, probably not).
I still have to wonder how he came to be the jackass he did. We know his family wasn’t responsible, so was he always a secret sociopath/psychopath, or was it an event that did it?
For that matter, how far is he willing to go to get his way? We know his so-called friend is a neo-nazi, so odds are he’d get him to assassinate all his enemies, which at this point is most of Eden Prairie (if not the entire state of Minnesota). Or at least Joc and Carlson.
Ronald has already proven that he can and WILL order people killed, even his own daughter, just to shut them up. I don’t think realizing his new friend is a Nazi will even make him pause.
I’m just going to say it now: Ronald is going to WIN. He’s had multiple moments of potentially giving up to comical effect and defied them every time, while at the same time showing that everything is expendable in his mind. This is simply the sad reality of politics.
The fact that he only gave her a peck on the cheek during their wedding is just really sad. Let’s hope Phyllis finally does come to her senses and files for a divorce? (If not then have Phyllis come to her senses after Ronald ends up being killed off by the end of this year?)
@BBkat Either he did the deed with her before they were married and before he may have gone full Christian… or he’s always been a manipulative A-hole that’s taken advantage of Phyllis and basically forced her to do it with him in his attempts to keep his dominance. Maybe he never truly loved Phyllis and is only married to her because she popped out a biological child of his.
Would explain the lack of a desire to kiss Phyllis here…

She is so Repressed, I bet if she had a man that would treat her like a woman she would become much more like her sister.

This man has the concept of love completely backwards.
@Maetch Your comment here has re-affirmed that Ronald is now the new most dangerous character in this strip.

…Why did I just now notice that Phyllis and Ron have the same haircut?

Is Jocelyn adopted? Let’s see… non-Bible based name… totally unlike Ronald or Phyllis… the evidence is mounting. 🤔

@BBkat the man is “Moral Orel” levels of sexless
@Moh if any of his interactions with Reverend Wilson are any indication, that still won’t work
Oh my god, someone’s going to get assassinated.
Please, Jesse, I beg of you. Kill this fucker off.
This is going to bite Ronald in the ass so hard.
How in the world did this man even manage to have a child???
Maybe what Ronald really needs is to speak with another Christian, one who can reason with him while communicating on his level.
He’s so cold-hearted that he won’t even show his devoted wife any affection. Damn.
His happiness will fade once he discovers who his “mysterious partner” is.
At least he’s honest about his intentions.
